Unless you've taken the test too early (ie: sooner than the first day of a missed period), used it incorrectly (ie: didn't get enough urine on it) or gotten a dud, they're pretty darn reliable. They measure HCG in the urine and most measure anything more than a level of 25. Generally speaking, HCG levels double every 48 hours at the onset of pregnancy and by the first day of a missed period you should be at around a level of 25. I've read that most home tests will register a reading of 25 or more, however that's the average for the product so the individual test you purchased may not register a reading until your HCG levels are a little higher. If you got a negative result but still think you may be pregnant, wait a few days and try again and/or go get a blood test done at a doctor's office. Blood testing for HCG will register anything above a level of 0 so that's the best way to be certain.
Condoms are not 100% reliable so there is still a chance of pregnancy occurring. If you think you may be pregnant you should take a home pregnancy test and/or see a Dr.
Congratulations MOMMY!
There is no reliable safety period during which unprotected sex will not make you pregnant. The only way to prevent pregnancy reliably is to use some form of contraception such as condoms, a diaphragm or the pill.
A pregnancy test used before your period is late is not reliable. You should wait until two weeks after your missed cycle to get a reliable reading. If you had a positive result in a test taken at least two weeks after your missed cycle, this can be considered a positive pregnancy test. Spotting early in pregnancy is normal, bleeding heavier than spotting is not.If you are still questioning whether you are pregnant you should see a doctor or your clinic.
If you are on/had your period your probably not pregnant, but do a pregnancy test to be sure.
Your period shouldn't affect the test! There is really no point in doing a pregnancy test during a period. Usually, if you are having a period you are not pregnant. A pregnancy test senses the BHCG hormone so your period should not affect it.
The dream only reflects your own desire to be pregnant; it is not a reliable indication of pregnancy. If you have been sexually active since your last menstrual period, you may be wise to get a pregnancy test.
Yes - go to the doctor and ask them to do a test because it is more reliable
Pregnancy TestNo, you need to wait until at LEAST 4 days before your missed period. If you wait until you miss your period, you will have a better chance of a true result. and my advice would be to take a Digital, as they read the lines for you, and tell you Pregnant or Not Pregnant.
Yes but if you are having your period you are not pregnant.
You cannot rely on your period to determine pregnancy because pregnancy and menstruation are separate processes. If you suspect you might be pregnant, it is best to take a pregnancy test or consult a healthcare provider for accurate confirmation.
A period usually means no pregnancy, if you are unsure take a pregnancy test.
