Strep Throat is a bacterial disease while Chicken Pox is a viral infection. I'm not sure but I believe viruses have the incubation period, while the bacteria infects the person immediately and starts doing damage. I think you can spread Strep Throat by kissing or getting sputum (spit) in the eyes, nose or mouth of another person. Strep Throat is related to the "Flesh-eating disease" so go see a doctor and look for symptoms in persons that you have been in close contact with.

∙ 15y agoMy grandson had his tonsils and adenoids removed 3 yrs ago due to having many strep throats. He still is having continuous strep throats testing was done to confirm strep is the diagnosis. This has occured in July, Aug, and September and many prior times since the removal of tonsils. What could possibly be going on?

Yes, at the age of four I had a severe allergic reaction that for five days no doctor could account for. After many tests they concluded that I am indeed allergic to strep throat. Now I always have a course of antibiotics close and have to take them as soon as any symptoms arise.
