  • There is no magic pill to conquer fears; anxiety and emotional distress. However, there is Cognitive Therapy which teaches you the tools as to how to look at difficult issues in ones life and to look at the brighter side of things or find a solution to the problem. Good diet; exercise is a must to keep the brain's chemistry balanced as well as blood flow, etc. It is important also to make the best attempt you can to not take on too much of a load and to choose what you accept in your life such as being careful where you place your energy when it comes to whether you are a workaholic; are always there for too many friends when they don't deserve your time. It is a good idea to get a good physical from your family doctor to be sure there are no other causes for your problems and, there are medications that can help if you have a chemical imbalance to get you over the hump. Sometimes anxiety; depression and distress are genetic.
