RN mental health nurse for 15years Panic attacks can become worse when you focus on them. By thinking and worrying about them often throughout the day that gives them more power. Follow you doctors orders just how he/she says with medication as needed for the attacks anxiety meds to get you thru this rough stressful time are a miracle in themselves so take the meds and talk out your feelings and stresses to a trusted friend or counselor often Remember this to shall pass it is only temporary.

Are you healthy if you just had a panic attack?

Panic attacks can arise from a number of factors. If your friend was able to recover from the panic attack within 10 minutes, as well as doesn't have a history of panic attacks, she is more than likely healthy enough to visit a doctor. A visit to the physician would be the best way to determine the status of your friend's health. However, panic attacks are common and do not in themselves signify danger. A panic attack is best understood as a symptom of another underlying cause.

Will having your tonsils out help with panic attacks and inflammation?

Inflammation will likely be cured by removal of the tonsils if the inflammation in question is in the throat. As for panic attacks, unless they are triggered by anxiety regarding the inflammation and tonsil-related health concerns, tonsil removal is probably irrelevant. If the panic attacks are triggered by anxiety regarding inflammation of the tonsils, having the tonsils removed will stop those particular panic attacks - but such a person is evidently prone to anxiety disorders and might want to consider discussing the matter with their doctor as the presence of panic attacks may point to an underlying inability to cope.
