Aids is most easily caught as a result of having sexual relations with an infected person. This can be through heterosexual contact and or homosexual contact. the chances of acquiring aids this way can be significantly reduced through the use of shields such as condoms. (significantly reduced). Another way aids is contracted is through the sharing of injection needles among people that administer drugs to them selves and each other. Once again this risk can be avoided by always using sterile equipment for this sort of thing. Often the people that indulge in administering drugs to them selves tend not to dispose of injecting equipment responsibly leading to situations where infected needles could infect people accidentally. Wearing appropriate foot wear and avoiding places where these activity's take place whenever possible will also help avoid the risk of infection. Many people have been infected by contaminated blood products, This can be avoided by keeping a supply of your own blood on hand in case of emergency's. Having a first aid kit on hand with gloves and other protective equipment that may be required in case mouth to mouth resuscitation is required would also be helpful if you are the sort of person that tend to help in emergency situations. However the only way to avoid the risk of contracting aids altogether is to stop having any contact with humans and not use or come in contact with anything that they have been in contact with.
