yes is the answer.. i too had varicella encephalitis... i have memory problems, small seizures, slurring of speech , headaches, codnitive confusion.

the neuron damage may not be visible on an MRI and as i have got older i have worsened.. i now have balance issues muscle tremors and weakness in my legs and arms.
