2-3 months before you can change the bar. Industrials are really tricky to heal though. People have them for years and they still act up. Just get a bar that isn't too long or too short to prevent snagging and clean it regularly.
Good Question, depending on how it was done and how you take care of it, it could take up to 6 - 8 weeks for the swelling to go down.....I actually think it's a long time for swelling, but again I dont know how it was done or how you took care of it.....Hope this helps.................
If a septum piercing swells, you have a serious issue and should see your professional body piercer or doctor as soon as possible, septum infections can be very dangerous and need to be handled as soon as possible.
Well if you were the smart bunny and only stretched up one gauge then the discomfort will pass in a few hours. If you too the bad way to go and went up more than one gauge, well then you are tearing your piercings and it's going to hurt for a couple of days till it settles down.
I would say about a week if you take good care of it. Be really careful about touching and hitting it.
it takes up to a few weeks
For the basic oral piercings, ie. lip piercing, monroe, labret etc etc; the swelling begins to go down after a few days. Since the cartilage for a dimple piercing is much thicker than that of a lip piercing, the swelling will take a little bit longer to go down. Usually 3-10 days before the swelling begins to go down, depending on how much you play with the jewelery, irritate the piercing, and even how you clean it can all alter the amount of time your piercing is swollen for!
Industrials can be tricky to heal. You can go to your piercer to change it once the swelling goes down. YOu can change it yourself after 2-3 months. Industrials can take a very long time to heal completely.
i have snake bits and it took mine about 3weeks to go all the way down
Absolutely...ice helps to bring the swelling down, but as long as you don't put it on for too long, and the piercing itself isn't constricted too tightly. I have a nose piercing too, and i do it all the time.
The swelling should be completely gone within a week. If it isn't you may have an infection. You should go to a doctor and have the doctor look at it.
Everyone says that at first, wait till the swelling has come and gone, this can take up to 3 weeks to pass. Once the swelling is done you can get the piercing stepped down, but keep the longer labret in case you catch a cold or get sick because the piercing can re-swell during the first year for numerous reasons.
Well your professional body piercer should have covered that with you at the time you got your piercing done. Best give him/her a phone call and ask for some help, you seem to have some issues going on with your piercing and they should have given you full instructions regarding swelling and pain management.
You can drink anything as long as it's nothing hot, drinking cold beverages can help bring down swelling so can eating ice
Well your piercer should have told you how long the swelling would take to go down, as well as having provided you with written aftercare instructions. I need to telly you that the piercing you have will reject (you should have been told that as well). Hand web piercings never stay and always reject. There should be no actual swelling, if there is there could be a serious problem with how the piercing was done. Contact your piercer.
No, tongue rings are specifically designed for tongue piercings and are not suitable for an industrial piercing. An industrial piercing typically requires a long straight barbell that goes through two separate ear piercings. It is best to use jewelry that is specifically designed for an industrial piercing to ensure proper healing and comfort.
About 3 days max.
