Their emotions tend to be well-suppressed, but they do feel some things. However, they tend to require much higher levels of stimulation, which leads to risk taking, drinking and drugs, and other extreme behavior.

What they lack is empathy, the ability to relate to what other people are feeling. If you or I see someone stub their toe, we automatically wince. They don't. Lacking that, they have no problem mistreating other living things.
