The pressure inside the lungs decreases as the ribcage moves out and up. Air from outside basically gets pushed in by other air molecules due to the pressure gradient (air moves from a high pressure to a low pressure)

Does the pressure inside the bag of balloon increases or decreases?

As the bag of balloon rises, the pressure inside the bag of balloon decreases. Air pressure generally decreases as the altitude increases.

How does atmosphere pressure change as you move up from sea level?

as you move up from sea level, the atmospheric pressure decreases. At higher elevations, theres less air above you so therefor less air pressure. When the air pressure outside your body decreases, the air pressure inside also decreases (slowly).

How does atmospheric pressure change as you move up away from sea level?

as you move up from sea level, the atmospheric pressure decreases. At higher elevations, theres less air above you so therefor less air pressure. When the air pressure outside your body decreases, the air pressure inside also decreases (slowly).

Why the air in the balloon increases when you are on a high altitude in aeroplane?

Actually the amount of air doesn't increase, the pressure outside the baloon decreases. When you fill a balloon at sea level, the air inside the balloon is at sea level pressure. When you climb in an airplane to 35,000 ft, the pressure outside the balloon decreases. Since the pressure is higher inside, it can push out more. This is also the same principal for when your ears pop when you climb and descend.

What Happens if a Plane Goes Higher Than it's Designed To?

As the air pressure outside the aircraft decreases, & the air pressure inside the aircraft remains the same, it remains very high inside the aircraft in comparison to the outside, so in the end, the fuselage will explode apart, because the air pressure outside is not enough to counter act it & push against the force of the air pressure inside the aircraft which is pushing outwards.

Why does a chip bag increase in size when driving up a mountain?

The chip bag is sealed, and no air can get inside it. The air pressure decreases as you get higher, so the air inside the bag expands to equalize the pressure on the outside of the bag.

What happens to the pressure inside the thorax when you exhale?

It decreases.

Why a persons ears may pop as they go up in an airplane?

Air pressure outside the body decreases, pressure inside the ear presses out on the eardrums. The "Popping" sensation is pressure equalizing through the Eustachian tubes.

What happens to the pressure of a gas inside a contianer ifthe temperature of the gas decreases?

from the gas laws and Charles 2nd law, it can be concluded that pressure is directly proportional to temperature..hence if the temp decreases; pressure also decreases as the kinetic energy of the molecules decreases; the collisions decrease hence pressure of the molecules inside the container decrease.

Why ink spil out from pen in the aero plane?

Because as altitude increases, air pressure decreases. As the plane rises, the air pressure inside the pen is higher than outside it causing the ink to spill out.

When a container of gas is cooled what happens to the gas inside?

Gas pressure decreases when cooling down a closed container.

What is the difference between the pressure inside and outside a tornado funnel?

The pressure inside a tornado is much lower than it is outside.
