Maybe; don't overprocess your hair, and when using products to color it, choose very mild, gentle ones, and use lots of conditioner and be good to your hair once it is color-treated.
I agree with the answer above; use less harsh hair products if you dye your hair frequently. Also, it's very important to use conditioner! Lot's of people I know just buy shampoo and that's it! You need conditioner, especially when you dye it. Also, it's best to have your hair professionally done; it's expensive, but the results are better.
To answer your main question, yes, your hair can fall out if you dye it too much. It actually happened to a friend of mine when I was in high school. She dyed it so much that it just turned into this messy "gloop" and it just fell out after she washed it and combed it. It got to the point where she had to just shave her head and start over again; believe me, she has never touched hair dye since!
In response to the "gloop" thing. That's probably because you're NOT SUPPOSED to COMB bleach through your hair. you apply it and leave it, combing it will cause a lot of breakage.
