Prolonged exposure to sunlight or being out in extremely hot temps for long periods of time can trigger cold sores to break out.

If the bump comes with symptoms like itching, burning and or tingling symptoms then it could be a cold sore. You can always have a doctor check it out to make sure.

There is nothing wrong with you, if it is a cold sore you have nothing to worry about. They are very common and not life threatening to have.
