If you have a fight with your boyfriend of 3 months about compromising issues and he was really stubborn how can you determine whether it's just a normal phase or if he is not the right person for you?

If possible, the best way to judge who you are going out with is to meet his family. You can tell a lot by that. Don't let anyone tell you different ... you marry the family too! If someone in his immediate family is stubborn, thoughtless, abusive, etc., then you can bet your boyfriend is. These people usually don't see they have a problem and never get counseling for it. They never stop long enough in their lives to ponder who they are or what they are about and what part of their personality and their life they can improve. Since I have no idea what these compromising situations have been about, it's time to sit down with yourself and ask if you too aren't a little on the stubborn side. See if you can meet halfway. If it doesn't work, then it's time to leave! You should treat each other with respect, and try to come to some middle ground with your problems. So, go sit down with him and have that talk (no fighting!) See if he's worth continuing on with and be honest with yourself as well. Good luck Marcy
