While I can't give you any guarantees that you won't go into labor before your wonderful husband returns, being 1cm dilated is not at all unusual for a pregnant woman. This is especially so if it is not your first baby. You can be more than this at 36 weeks and still go over the due date!
The question you have typed, does not mean anything really!
i have been 1 cm for 3 weeks now! I dont think that how dilated you are really matters unless you are in active labor!
If your cervix is really 4cm dilated (not sure what the 80 is) at 34 weeks you should be at the hospital as your baby could be born anytime and at 34 weeks your baby will be pre-term and need extra support.
WALK
AT 3 cm dilated, you can be placed on bed rest. I was placed on bed rest at 32 weeks and 6 days to prevent me from going into preterm labor.
There's really no way to tell. You can be slightly dilated for weeks before going into true labor. On the other hand, you might not be dilated at all and then go into labor closer to your due date. It's oddly not a very reliable way of telling when you'll deliver, until you are in active labor.
It could be later today it could be 3 weeks from now. Just because you are dilated to something doen'nt mean labor is anytime soon...sorry. I have been dilated to a 3 for 2 weeks now :(
== == Theoretically, as long as you are past the point where the fetus is viable, active labor can begin any time in any pregnancy, no matter how much you are dilated or effaced. This means you could go into active labor in four minutes, four days, four weeks, etc. There's really no way to tell.
depending on the person and the number of pregnancies it could be hours to weeks.
no
You should be seeking advice from an expert in this matter.
40 weeks is always only a judgement. Your baby will come when it is ready to. Some people go days/weeks overdue.
