There are male and female animals. You use whichever one corresponds to the gender of the animal(s).

"No, as I believe that the uterus is a female only thing." Michael Shermer (Ph.D in the history of science) lists the male uterus as a vestigial structure on page 18. of "Why Darwin Matters". And other scientists reference this as a vestigial structure. It has not been included on the Wikipedia page. I'd like to see more responses to this.
