The upper outside "corner" of each lens hooks into the frame, and the inside edge of the lens (at the nosepiece) slides in and out. To remove the right lens, hold the frame with your left hand, left thumb on the top of the frame over the nosepiece, and left index finger between the two nose pads. Hold the right lens with your right thumb on top and right index finger underneath, close to the nosepiece, and pull the inside edge of the lens out and away from the frame while pressing slightly with your left thumb against the top of the frame, and pulling slightly with your left index finger (this is the bending action you probably remember). The lens will pivot at the outside corner, where it's hooked in, until you pull it free. Change your grip and repeat on the left side.

Lenses are either concave or convex. Concave lenses curve inward from both sides, and convex lenses curve outward one side and inward on the other. Concave and convex lenses change the image to be able to see from close or far distances. These are used for glasses, magnifying glasses, and telescopes.
Yes, acetone can damage glasses lenses as it is a strong solvent that can dissolve certain types of lens coatings and materials. It is best to avoid using acetone on glasses lenses to prevent damage.

GLASSES
Glasses without lenses? as in fake ones? why would you want them? U can just go to a 3d movie, get a pair of those and pop the lenses out.
When you say "glasses", it is plural. A "glass" is one of the lenses. "Glasses" would refer to both of the lenses, and a "pair of glasses" doesn't mention anything about the frame, but it mentions the two lenses. The frame is the object that joins the two lenses so you don't have to wear contacts and so it can stay on your head. When you say "a pair of glasses", you are referring to the "pair of lenses", not the frame. The frame holding the two lenses makes us think that it is one object, when the word "glasses" refers only to the lenses, not the frame. That is why it is called "a pair of glasses".
