In certain cases it is the large intestine. In others I haven't a clue.
The large intestine absorbs primarily water from feces. It absorbs most of the remaining water content, making the stool more solid as it moves towards the rectum for elimination.
The small intestine absorbs most of the nutrients in the food and transports it to the large intestine where the water will be sucked.
The lacteal absorbs the products of lipid digestion from the small intestine to the bloodstream.
The small intestine absorbs food and the large intestine absorbs water.
Nothing, the small intestine absorbs the nutrients, and the large intestine absorbs water.
The parts of the body that absorb water are the intestines. They also absorb most nutrients, especially the small intestine. Any remaining water after digestion gets into the body via the large intestine.
