I spoke with a rep at the Answer HPT hotline. They told me that any colored line, partial or full and no matter how faint, that appeared within the ten minute limit should be considered a positive result. They also mentioned that my diluted evening urine might have been to blame for the odd result. They recommended that I have gotten a positive result and to be absolutely sure, test again first thing in the morning tomorrow, and then see my OB/GYN.....!!!!!

I am still curious to hear the answers of others... Please feel free to answer I would love to read your insights....

Negative pregnancy test but urinated on it again and it went positive?

This happened to me when I got pregnant with my third child. The first test was negative and the second positive. From what I understand, a pregnancy test can give a false negative but rarely gives a false positive.

When I took first pregnancy test its become negative but I took second pregnancy test its become positive now what can I do?

Try one more time. If it is again positive, then you probably are pregnant.

What is negative seven in Parentheses to the second power?

positive 49 Because a negative times a negative is a positive. -7*-7=49. positive * positive = positive negative * negative= positive positive * negative = Negative

Did one pregnancy test was positive and then second came out negative?

Wait a few days and take another test. If you still aren't sure, go see a doctor. But odds are, if you got one positive, you're pregnant. It's very unlikely to get a positive and not be pregnant. It's more common to get a negative and be pregnant.

A negative plus a negative is positive?

No a negative plus a negative is not a positive answer. example. -5+-2=-7 but if you are subtracting a negative number from a negative, then the second negative number would become a positive. example. -5 - -2= -5+2= =-3

IF a mother is HR negative and father is HR positive why is second pregnancy a problem?

If the mother is Rh negative and the father Rh positive there is a possibility that the unborn baby will be Rh positive as well. If the baby is Rh positive than the mother (who is Rh negative) has antibodies made for Rh positive substances which would include the baby. Basically the mothers body will attack the baby because it is not a match with her body. Commonly this is not as much of a problem with the first baby because the body does not build up the resistance to the first child but the second child will often run into complications because the body has built up antibodies against the second child's Rh positive blood. This is often called Rhesus disease or Rh disease.

Can a rhesus negative mother with antibodies in her bloodstream go on to have a normal healthy baby?

Erythroblastosis Fetalis is a disease that affects mothers with a positive RH factor when their unborn babies have a negative RH factor. It only has negative side-effects during the second pregnancy.

Why would a home pregnancy test show up negative and a day later show up positive?

On the box it will tell you at how many days it will detect pregnancy. You were probably right at the line on the first day, and the second your body had produced enough of the hormones to show up positive on a titer test.

Is second pregnancy test recommended after the negative one?

Yes. Sometimes pregnancy tests are not 100% correct. Even if the second test comes out negative I would recommend that you go see your doctor. They can just give you a pregnancy test there and then you will know for sure. :)

How might erythroblastosis fetalis?

It happens when the father is of a positive blood group (having Rhesus (Rh) factor) and mother of a negative blood group (devoid of Rh factor), the fetes' blood group will be of the positive type, i.e., having Rh factor as having Rh factor is a dominant trait and can mask the negative blood group. So, this creates problems for the kid as well as mother during pregnancy. Usually, the first pregnancy will not have much complications. But, the second pregnancy onwards, the antibodies present in the mother from the first pregnancy will be present and is harmful for the fetes.
