Symptoms of a pulmonary embolism include sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, rapid heart rate, and coughing up blood. This symptom requires immediate medical attention.
Left heart failure symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, coughing, and fluid retention. Pink frothy sputum indicates pulmonary edema, a serious complication where fluid leaks into the lungs, causing difficulty breathing and potentially leading to respiratory failure.
