No. It is a psychedelic reaction that constantly occurs throughout his/her life. The reason being is due to the natural production of bufotenin, which is similar to other psychedelics like psilocybin (magic mushroooms) and DMT.

Autism is not considered a birth defect in the traditional sense (birth defect generally being limited to physical problems). Though, a broader definition could consider it to be a birth defect, in that a person is born with autism, and it is not acquired afterwards.

In addition, the triggers and mechanism by which autism works is not well understood, and certainly doesn't have anything to do with psychedelics.
