My own daughter has Asperger's Syndrome. She is a delightful 17-year-old young woman. She is a "strange bird," an amazing artist, and possesses Jesus/Ghandi-like understanding and compassion for others. Knowing her has led me to wonder just who is impaired, and who is not.

Even at her age, she seems to me void of any guile or deceit, like a small child. I am compelled to wish that Asperger's was contagious, and that the whole mean World would catch it.
