No. Bulimia it self is a eating disorder, while the symptoms are the same. They both usually starve themselves, but if a bulimic eats one or a few more bites of something, he/she will go and purposefully make themselves vomit.

Combination may not be the best term. Bulimia does have defining factors similar to both eating disorders. However, bulimia should be treated as a separate eating disorder unless the person displays signs of other eating disorders as well. For instance, it is possible to have both anorexia and bulimia.

No, bulimia and anorexia nervosa are quite different.

Anorexia is characterized by someone depriving themselves of food altogether, or just eating extremely little. It causes hair loss, skin de-coloration, rapid weight loss (not the good kind) and other symptoms of malnourishment.

Bulimia is characterized by someone eating large amounts of food, commonly referred to as 'binge eating,) and then throwing up in order to expel the food from their system. In between these stages of eating large amounts, they may fast for extended periods of time, this is also a symptom of binge eating. The bulimia itself causes many of the symptoms anorexia does, as people are still depriving themselves sufficient nutrition, but bulimia also damages the digestive system and teeth, as the highly acidic vomit passes through their system regularly. Now, don't get me wrong, throwing up is good on occasion, when your body is doing it naturally to expel a dangerous, foreign substance, but when you purposely do it frequently, it's devastating.
