Actually it is but most Doctors do not have the answer other than giving you crap meds...I beat it and have not had a relaspe in 20 years!...First take natural vitamin E...that's the d-alpha...then get a high quality multi-vitamin mineral supplement...then get ester C ...the C and E should be 1000 milligrams twice a day!....Also the same with the multi twice a day) that's for starters....then pray to the good Lord ...laugh now but it worked for me!...and by the good Lord I mean Jesus not anything else....going on drink 2 quarts of fresh water a day if not more I always have a container of water with me....Since I have been healed since 1990 I can eat the 'hottest' hot sauces on the planet eat anything I want and drink any alcohol I want!......so if you don't believe me move on .....just saying I know....and am living proof....if you say will that work for me?...take it to the bank!...Thx MIke

This is a curable condition.Unfortunately, death is not curable.
It means that it may not be a true ulcerative colitis but may be colitis related to some infection or antibiotic induced colitis

Ulcerative colitis is a specific type of colitis that is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterized by ulcers in the colon and rectum. Ulcerative colitis is a subset of colitis.
Changes of pH in the bowel is an effect of colitis, and not the cause of colitis.
There is no such condition as colitis of the throat. Colitis means inflammation of the colon. Inflammation in the throat is called tonsillitis and pharyngitis.
Arthritis is not curable. However, there are effective treatments available.
Doxycycline will not cause colitis.
