There has been no scientific research yet to explore the safety of colloidal silver during pregnancy. There is however, plenty of anecdotal evidence of women who have taken it during pregnancy without side effects.
If you have a condition which you think would benefit from colloidal silver, then ensure you get one that is good quality (glass bottle, 10ppm, no binding agents, stablisers or proteins & should not require refridgeration).
Topical use is best where applicable, but if you need to take it orally use a low dose and take for 3-5 days.
Colloidal Silver has been rated to have the same toxicity level as water - your skin won't turn blue unless you are drinking it by the glass full! As with all supplments, it can be very beneficial if used safely and the instructions on the bottle are followed.
There is a booklet called 'The Colloidal Silver Report' - it doesn't discuss taking colloidal silver during pregnancy, but does discuss its benefits, uses, safety, quality and history and is an informative read on the subject.
Hope this helps

You'll find a great article about the powerful virucidal qualities of colloidal silver at this link: http://colloidalsilversecrets.blogspot.com/2009/05/is-nanosilver-silver-bullet-against.html It describes a number of studies in which various forms of silver -- including colloidal silver -- have been used to cure serious viral illnesses, ranging from flu to Hepatitis B to AIDS. However, please note that in some cases described in the above-recommended article, colloidal silver was used intravenously instead of orally. This requires a doctor's direct supervision. Colloidal silver should never be injected into the body unless it has been prepared in a proper hypotonic solution, by a knowledgeable and licensed physician, in order to avoid harm to the red blood cells. Oral doses of colloidal silver have anecdotally been reported to help AIDS patients with the secondary bacterial infections that generally accompany the disease. You can learn more about safe, oral doses of colloidal silver by downloading the FREE "safe dosage" report at www.TheSilverEdge.com (see download link in the upper left-hand corner of the home page).
