Depends. Generally speaking, those with ADD/HD learn differently from most, meaning they don't respond well to standard classroom type instruction. this doesn't mean they can't learn, and somewhat reflects our school system's shortsightedness (or narrow-minded approach to learning). Just because we can't take tests well doesn't mean we can't write well, etc. (or vise-versa).

But many of us do have related Learning Disabilities (dyslexia, etc.) which exacerbates the problem.
