No it is in fact good to have a foreskin. There is a graet deal of research that shows that the foreskin has a purpose in intercourse as a lubricating function, that it protects the glans that it contributes greatly to sexual pleasure and control and that it also contributes to the womans comfort and orgasm.
"an article in the January 1999 British Journal of Urology reported that women who had slept with both circumcised and intact men preferred sex with men who were not circumcised. The article reported that the women achieved orgasm faster, and were more likely to achieve multiple orgasms." - Prof. Michael S. Kimmel, TIKKUN, Volume 16, Number 3, May/June, 2001. Michael Kimmel is the author of Manhood in America and, most recently, The Gendered Society (Oxford University Press). He teaches sociology at SUNY Stony Brook.
Is it bad to have earlobes? Not at all. If I develop a serious problem with one of my earlobes, that will be time enough to address it. I'm glad my parents didn't agree to have them removed when I was an infant, fearing that I might contract some illness later on. Unfortunately they didn't give that kind of attention to other parts of me. The foreskin is a natural and functioning part of the penis, and its only moving part. The frenulum, which is often removed or damaged during the circumcision procedure, is rich in nerve endings that are sensitive to touch. The foreskin serves to protect the highly sensitive glans penis and keep it moist; it is not meant to be permanently exposed, chafed and dry. On the other hand, and this can't be over-emphasized, if a male develops a condition for which circumcision is the best or only treatment, then by all means it should be done.
See links below for more.
The foreskin may also be referred to as the prepuce.
Depends how bad it is. It needs treatment like a bandage. If its really bad. Then definitely seek medical help.
No when they circumcise they remove the foreskin only. Not the penis.
In circumcision of infants, the foreskin is pulled tightly into a specially designed clamp, and the foreskin pulls away from the broadened tip of the penis. Pressure from the clamp stops bleeding from blood vessels that supplied the foreskin
By examination of the word 'long' one would assume the question is referring to a foreskin greater than average. Average foreskin covers the glans of the penis completely when soft. When erect average foreskin typically slides back and exposes some if not all of the glans. If a man has 'long' foreskin, by description alone it suggests that the foreskin is of a greater/longer amount than average. Some men with longer foreskins can have an erection with no exposure of the glans. In other cases the foreskin can be long enough to cover the glans during erection with excess at the tip. Typically the position of the foreskin is dependant upon the elasticity and size of the frenum, which attatches the foreskin to the underside of the glans. The more flexible and abundant the frenum is, the more likely the foreskin is able to slide up and down.
No, I did not. I thought I would still grow a foreskin.
There is a medical condition where the opening at the end of the foreskin is not large enough for the head of the penis to fully emerge. It can be treated relatively easily by a doctor. If the foreskin does not fully retract, infection may occur, so thoroughly clean the area daily.
Circumcision is the removal of the Prepuce or foreskin from the penis. this is largely a religious practice and there are no medical or health advantages in it except in extremely rare circumstances.
Removal of the foreskin is also referred to as circumcision of men or boys is traditional in a number of cultures, but it is most common in the Jewish tradition from the Brit Milah.
Circumcision
Yes, the males do, as do most male animals.
If you don't have foreskin that means you have been circumcised. Circumcision is a surgery during which part of the skin of the penis, called the foreskin, is cut off of the rest of the penis. After circumcision the head of the penis is always exposed since there is no foreskin left to cover it. Foreskin does not grow back after it has been cut off. Most circumcisions are performed when boys are only a few days old, which is why you don't remember it.
