hello i sugest you go see your doctor,but sometimes it happens to me and turns out to be blood chunks ,its best to see your doctor let him check you out and then you can rest asured I DO THAT EVERY TIME I HAVE A CYCLE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS TISSUE BEING DISCHARED FROM THE UTERUS AND THAT IT WAS OKAY BUT CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR TO BE SURE unfortunately, yes.

Yes, it's normal to see what looks like chunks of raw liver in your menstrual flow.

Menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining, most of what you see will be blood with uterine cells, but you will also see these pieces of the uterus lining when your flow is heavier - if they get to be the size of a Golf ball then it's time to see a doctor, but otherwise it's normal. You will also see in your menstrual flow small blood clots, and cervical mucus mixing with your blood, that's normal too. If you were to use a menstrual cup you'd see this more clearly, you only see it occasionally with tampons or pads.
