Sociopaths don't 'get to be' the way their are. Their born that way. As they grow older they realize that something in them is different. To survive they mimic human behavior so they can seem 'normal' to society.

Sociopath seems to be someone who has ill intentions and is purposely hurtful while someone with explosive rage may just have problems dealing with anger and bottles it up until it turns to rage.
