a booster is just an informal name used to refer to the shot that was initially given to your dog a year prior. It can be a distemper or rabies shot or another shot. booster is just your dog needing to be re-vaccinated since most vaccines only last for one year
When they are 4 months old give the combination shot. Then, when they are 1 year, give them the booster shot and the rabies vaccine.
dont know about that, mine have to be re vaccinated every two years!
It is recommended, but not absolutely necessary. If you trust your vet, go with their advice. In AZ parvo is running rampant, so I got my 8 year old dog one. Its not terribly expensive either....better to be safe than sorry!
Tetanus boosters are good for 10 years. If you go past the 10 year mark, the other booster wont hurt you when you get it.I got a Tetanus shot in 1994 and that is the first one I ever remember having.I felt fine after having it.
Horses need a tetanus shot once at year and probably a booster if they are injured with cuts or open wounds.
Only once or twice in your life time, its not so, you need a booster shot once every 10 years superfuga
3 shots every year. 1 shot at 1 month, 1 shot 2 months later, 1 shot 2 months later. Next year... 1 shot,1 more shot 2 months later, 1 more shot 2 months.Next year...etc. Good Luck!
Not harmful, just expensive and unnnecessary.
DHPP is combination vaccine to protect dogs and puppies from four dangerous diseases: canine Distemper, infectious Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus infection. For puppies, the vaccine is given at 6 to 8 weeks old, and a booster shot is given when the dog is a year old. After that, the vaccine is usually given every three years.
