Yes, you can and you can still get pregnant. I've been breastfeeding exclusively for 10 months now and have not had a period. If you are breastfeeding and supplementing with formula or pumping you can get a period easier rather than just breastfeeding alone.

Don't worry about having your period while breastfeeding this is normal. If you have given birth within a month it is unlikely to be a true period and will be postnatal bleeding (this can last weeks, sometimes months).
The most likely time to get your first period is sometime after you introduce solids or formula to your little ones diet. Remember just because you haven't had a period does not mean you aren't fertile and can't get pregnant.

Most people don't but it's a chance you might have a light cycle or spotting. But generally if you didn't have your cycle during your pregnancy and the baby is nursing full time, it's a no.
