Of course it is safe. Any speculation that radiation comming off the moniter or tower is bogus. Unless you're using a computer from 1960, theres no chance of anything happaning. The moniter's screen is basically billions of little light bulbs. These light bulbs make up pixles that project a color, to make the screen. So initially, you're just staring at a light bulb.

Yes, it is completely safe to use a laptop while pregnant, although the further along you get, the less lap you will have :) The only physical problems or discomfort caused by laptops is using them while wearing shorts; it causes your thighs to get a bit too warm and red when used for a long time with nothing to protect your skin.
