In English, at the present time, there is no word for partly black. "Part black" is not a word for being half white and half black; it's a adjective. "Mixed" is as close as you can get. People that are half black and half white refer to themselves usually as "black", because, allegedly, mixed race people in this country are treated as if they are black exclusively. I don't agree but that's what most people say. To me, Obama is half white and half black. Most people, including the President, refer to him as black even though his mother was 100% white.
Half White, Half Black. His mother is white, and his father is black.
The only way a 'black' person can look white is if they have white genes in their blood. For example. Mariah Carey is half black and she looks white. Wentworth Miller is 1/4 black and looks white. Nicole Richie is 1/4 black and she looks white. It could also turn out the other way as well, Melanie Brown(scary spice) is half white yet she looks black. Barack Obama is half white and looks black. The moral of the story is you simply cannot categorize people into a box because some people fall outside it.
A half-white and half-black child is called a Multiracial.

They could be considered Mixed, white or black.
His father is an African American. His mother is Jewish Canadian.
There wouldn't be any. Andrew Jackson was not half black. His father was of black heritage, meaning his ancestors came from a race considered black by the people of the United States. Andrew Jackson had a brother who was of a much darker complexion than other members of his immediate family. In the U.S., you are considered black if you have one drop of black blood in you. Take Barack Obama for example: he is half black (his father) and half white (his mother). He is considered black because of his paternal line. However, he was raised in a white home with white values. Saying he is the first black president in the US is misleading. He is the first half black president who acknowledges his black half. Jackson was also a slave owner, owning up to 300 slaves during his life. If he was black, or even half black, this would not have been possible.
