Lichenplanis is not a form of cancer. It is a rash that develops either as an adverse reaction to antihypertensive medications or as a result of being exposed to tremendous psychological stress. It is a rare disorder and once you break out with it, there is a small chance that later in life it will flare up again. If it does flare up again, it shouldn't after that. I have lichenplanis that flared up when I was around 12....it then re surfaced two years ago, which was 17 years later. Hope this helped.

Can you die from lichen sclerous?

You cannot die from it alone. It mostly just causes discomfort, bleeding and pain. It usually goes away or a treatment by the doctor will help. However, though Lichen sclerosus does not cause skin cancer, the skin that is scarred by lichen sclerosus is more likely to develop skin cancer. If you have the disease, see the doctor every 6 to 12 months. The doctor can look at and treat any changes in the skin.
