I would say a five year old should weigh about 75 pounds. If your 5 year old is over this weight put them on some kind if sport and give them healthy food and only one candy a day. If your five year old is under this weight that is fine. Really the lowest weight they should be at this age is 68 pounds. If they are even lower then this then get them to eat more and if that does not work then take them to a children doctor just to be safe.

I think 68-75 is too high, unless they are SUPER tall. Five year olds should be around 40-50 pounds, but this will vary with their hieght. You should look at their BMI - Body Mass Index instread of just their weight.
