No, percocet contains oxycodone (and laced with plenty of tylenol, of course) and not hydrocodone.
I believe you mean "Oxycodone" which is the generic name for Percocet or Tylox. My doctors know I am allergic to codeine; but subscribe Oxycodone, which has codeine, but so does percocet. I am waiting for pharmacist to call me know to let me know if it has the same amount. Percocet does not bother my stomach but Oxycodone does.
Hydrocodone and Vicodin are the same thing. Vicodin is namebrand, Hydrocodone is generic. Same thing with Percocet and Oxycodone.
No they can tell the difference between the two of them!!Percocet is Oxycodone, and Hydrocodone is Hydrocodone, also called vicodin,Lorcet, lortab.Hydrocodone and oxycodone are two different things.
Percocet contains oxycodone and acetaminophen. Lorcet contains hydrocodone and acetaminophen.
Vicodin contains hydrocodone and acetaminophen, while Percocet contains oxycodone and acetaminophen. Both are used to treat pain but have different opioid components. Additionally, Percocet is considered stronger than Vicodjson.
They should because they are two different narcotic pain relievers.
Hydrocodone is not percocet. Percocet is a combination oxycodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is the active ingredient in brand name Vicodin, which also has acetaminophen in it. The difference is that oxycodone is a little more potent than hydrocodone, but both are very effective for treatment of pain.
the hydrocodone and percocet will show up in the drug screen as the same thing so if you have prescribed percocet and valiums than dont worry about the lortab.....
if your allergic to vicoden can you take percocet?
hydrocodone is weaker then oxycodone(active narcotic in percocet) But it is no more harmful. It is the apap that the mix with the tabs that is liver toxic in higher doses
Percocet are much stronger then vics. They contain Oxycodone which is a more powerful drug.Vicodin and percocet are about the same, your body metabolises different from everyone elses. While Vicodin might work really well for me percocet might work better for you. I have a vitamin D defeciency and fybromyagia and have asked my doctor to put me on Hydrocodone 5/350 as the 5/500 I am on now are not working for the pain.
Yes, a test can show hydrocodone in your system if you are taking Percocet, as Percocet contains oxycodone and acetaminophen. While the primary opioid in Percocet is oxycodone, some tests may not differentiate between different opioids, and hydrocodone may be detected if you have used it previously. Additionally, if you are taking both medications, hydrocodone could also be present. Always inform your healthcare provider or testing agency about any medications you are taking.
