Plaka paint is generally not considered permanent on fabric. While it can adhere well and may withstand some washing, it is primarily designed for craft and temporary applications. To increase its durability, it's recommended to heat-set the paint after it dries, but even then, it may fade or wash out over time. For truly permanent fabric painting, specialized fabric paints are a better choice.
Applying tin foil and heating with an iron may help to set the paint temporarily on the fabric, but it is unlikely to create a permanent adhesion. To permanently adhere paint to fabric, it is recommended to use fabric paint or fabric medium and follow the manufacturer's instructions for heat setting or curing.
Permanent paints are not soluble in water, which means they won't wash out. Many permanent paints are sensitive to heat, and will "set" into the fibers of the fabric with an iron, or a hot wash. Some paints which are designed to be permanent are acrylic, and will actually crack and break off the fabric instead of adhering permanently.
