I don't have an answer.Just wanted to let you know that my son has been on straterra for about 6weeks now and in the last 3 days has developed severe diarrhea with abdominal pain and cramps.
My 8 year old son has been on Straterra for about 4 months. He had no side effects initially, but over the last two months he's had stomach pains, become pasty white and weak (gets better when he eats), and most recently has had diarrhea for 6 out of the last 10days. Tomorrow we see the Dr. If I learn anything I'll post it, but was glad to read the other posts so I could show them to her to show her I'm not the only mom wondering the same thing?
Today is my 2nd day of Straterra and only the intro dose of 25 mg each. I am 33 female. Today, I became very nauseated and in the evening, had bad diarrhea and some vomiting.
my son is 9 and he has been on straterra now for about 9 months he also complains of severe abdominal pain. I believe that this is an unfortunate side effect for most that are taking this medication.I think it is wise for those who are on this med to schedule a liver panel with the new findings on this medication.
Severe diarrhea is not a common side effect of IV iron infusions, but some patients may experience gastrointestinal issues, including diarrhea, nausea, or cramping. These reactions can vary based on individual sensitivity and the specific formulation of the iron used. If severe diarrhea occurs, it is important to consult a healthcare provider to assess the situation and determine if any further action is needed.

Umm not really injuries, but symptoms are mild-severe diarrhea, vomitting and leg cramps due to the salt imbalance of the body. Also severe dehydration is the side effect of the diarrhea. All these can cause shock and death with in a few hours, due to the rapid loss of fluids in the body Hope that helps.
