No, not necessarily. A tumor is a mass, but a mass is not necessarily a tumor.

My doctors are using the terms "mass" and "tumor" very interchangeably. Right now they just know that it is not a cyst, the rest is a test in process so one will refer to mass the other will talk about different tumors.
