I have root reabsorption from traumatic orthodontics when I was in my mid -teens. I have very short, millimeters long roots on my top 6 teeth. I have been able to keep my original teeth by keeping my teeth healthy. I had veneers put on my 6 teeth when I was 16, then replaced when I was 34yrs old. I'm 40 and now the veneers need replaced again because of leaking and cavity behind my front tooth. My dentist now wants me to get a gum trim along with the new veneers. Is that healthy?
