Answer to is diabetes contagiousNo, Diabetes is definitely not contagious. When someone with diabetes does a finger poke or gives himself an injection he/she is careful to discard sharps safely and clean up any blood so that any one else could never get any contagious disease from those items. AIDS and hepatitis are two of the contagious diseases that need to be protected against.

Hi Diabetes is not infectious at all. You CANNOT catch it. There are two types type 1 and type 2. Type 1 you just get, sometimes after a trauma ie illness or accident and your pancreas stops producing insulin and you immediately need insulin injections or via a pump. Type 1 is not the persons fault at all. It can be hereditary in some cases. Type 2, the sufferer can be prone to, it is mostly -about 95% - in overweight people. It tends to be in older people too. Sometimes it can affect normal weight people as well. This is where the pancreas doesn't produce as much insulin and type 2 can be treated with diet alone or diet, exercise and tablets or/and insulin.

YOU CANNOT CATCH DIABETES FROM SOMEONE. It is the hidden disability condition. It is extremely serious and needs to be more broadcast.

Can noninfectious diseases be treated by antibiotics or drugs like that?

Noninfectious diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, or cancer, cannot be treated with antibiotics because these medications specifically target bacterial infections. However, some noninfectious diseases can be managed with other types of drugs, such as antihypertensives for high blood pressure or insulin for diabetes. In certain cases, antibiotics may be prescribed for related complications or infections in patients with noninfectious diseases, but they do not address the underlying noninfectious condition itself.
