No longer than 3 or 4 days.
Side effects of the tetanus vaccine are minor: soreness, redness, or swelling at the site of the injection that appear any time from a few hours to two days after the vaccination and disappear in a day or two.
Probably not.
Yep. Swelling can be a problem if the bar is too short but its completely normal!
yes, it is normal. but you can reduce it by using ice packs
Got my Monroe pierced a couple days ago the swelling will go down then come back a few hours later the go back down again, is that normal ?
Some pain and swelling is also normal; the doctor will usually prescribe a pain-killing medication to be taken for a few days.
if it is a week that is fine but two weeks you should consult a doctor right away. This could be serious
Not sure if it's normal, but I just had at tetanus shot yesterday morning, now it's the following evening and my jaw muscles and even neck and shoulders are a little sore. Shot in the dark here and not sure if this is true; and I'm not a Dr. by any means, but my only thought is that when they give you a vaccine, I think they are essentially giving you a small dose of the disease so your body can build up immunity to it. I know tetanus symptoms include muscle spasms, soreness and "lock jaw." It might be that we're feeling a small dose of the symptoms of tetanus. I could be way off base here, but my pain is pretty tolerable for the most part rightnow. So I'm going to give it a few more days and see if it gets better. If it gets worse, I'll go back to the Doctor who gave me the shot.
There will also be some swelling and discharge after the surgery. The swelling is usually minor, and patients should be able to open their eyes within the next two days, as the swelling should gradually disappear.
You can expect swelling around the nose and eyes. This is normal and should peak at about 3 days. The bandages should come off in about a week and in 7 - 10 days the swelling should be down far enough that it will be unnoticed by the untrained eye.
10 years, then you have to get another one.
