I am 62 female with recently diagnosed COPD and CHF..just want to know what my life expectancy could be---good and bad. Ask your doctor about breathing exercises and physical excercise such as walking daily, cleaner air in the home, nutritional support for your blood and circulation, veins and arteries and capillaries, reduced stress and tension. Consider learning more about CoQ10 and Reveratrol supplements to support your heart. You may also find that all natural Vitamin C with rutin and hesperidin may be helpful for your overall health. Ask your doctor about vitamin C. You just got to take care of yourself alot more than what you might have in the past. Listen to your doctor and discuss your fears and desires with him or her. Make sure you are comfortable with your doctor's treatment and do not be afraid to get a second opinion if you need one. This is a very serious condition and will require good medical supervision at all times. Educate yourself on all of your options and how to support yourself with a healthy lifestyle. You may be able to improve your health in many other ways and cope more sucessfully with this long term disease. Stay positive and take one day at a time! These are my personal thoughts and do not represent any kind of medical advice so make sure you get back to see your doctor asap.
