Hi, I miscarried also 3 weeks ago, still bleeding and pregnancy test still positive. Nurse told me there are no "normals" when it comes to miscarriage, but in cases like this they like to keep an eye on you just in case. I have to return in a week for a 3rd blood test to monitor the hormone level and will be sent for a scan if there are still some pregnancy hormones, to check for left over tissue in the womb (which could cause infection if left). I asked about d&c and was told this was a last resort. Hope this helps, I just want it all to be finished now!
It is a possibility. I suggest you go to the doctor and get checked. If you HAVE had a miscarriage and you are still bleeding you may have a bit of the pregnancy still inside which could cause an infection or heavier bleeding. If you have NOT had a miscarriage there is some other problem which needs checking.
Any bleeding during pregnancy needs to be evaluated by a doctor. Heavy bleeding is a sign of miscarriage, but you have to see a doctor to be sure and to be checked for your health, as well.
What types of symptoms? Like bleeding? Or spotting? You can be pregnant and still have your period, but it won't be like a regular period. More like spotting and not for very long. I don't think they would even call it a period.
Yes. Spotting can indicate implantation of the fetus into the uterine wall (usually between 3-5 weeks pregnant). Spotting can also indicate the start of a miscarriage. BUT many many pregnancies have had spotting (and even heavier bleeding) and still been successful.
i guess so since you still have high levels of hormones
I am not sure about the stress but I do know it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor if you are too concerned.

She may have had a miscarriage

Implantation bleeding and break through bleeding. Very common and nothing to worry about. If you are still concerned, see your ObGyn.
Usually a miscarriage happens because the baby passed away, before any cramping or bleeding started.
If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding.
