The sensory neurons carry impulses through the spinal cord to the brain.
Neurons that carry impulses are called motor neurons. These neurons transmit signals from the brain and spinal cord to muscles or glands, directing them to take action in response to stimuli.

The nervous system carries impulses to and from the brain by way of neurons. The bundles are called nerves. Sensory nerves bring impulses into the spinal cord and brain and motor neuron carry impulses away from the brain and spinal cord to the muscles and glands.
There are three types of neurons. 1.Sensory neurons: which carry impulses from the sense organs to the brain and spinal cord. 2.Motor neurons : which perform an opposite function to that of sensory neurons by carrying impulses from the brain and spinal cord to muscles and glands. 3. Inter neurons : which connect sensory and motor neurons and carry impulses between them.
Impulses from the brain go mostly through the channels in the spinal cord and control most everything that goes on in the body. It is a two way street with information generated chemicals being carried throughout the body.The brain uses neurons to decide what information is acted upon.
These are called efferent neurons. The one that carry impulses away are afferent. Afferent (A) are away (A).
The bundle of nerve fibers that send messages to the brain for interpretation is called the sensory pathway. These pathways carry sensory information from the peripheral nervous system to the brain where it is processed and interpreted.
