Lysosomes!
lysosomes
lysosomes
specialized organelles called lysosomes digest food in the cell...
1) when a tadpole becomes a frog, lysosomes digest the tail. 2) they digest foreign materials 3) they destroy targeted organelles such as mitochondria
lysosomes
Probably lysosomes fuse and digest most organelles.
lysosomes
The cell contains ribosomes which produce proteins, and the nucleus contains DNA which codes for proteins. They can work together to produce particular proteins called enzymes which are used to digest food. Each cell also contains lysosomes which digest any microorganisms within the body. Lysosomes also destroy old organelles in the cell which are no longer needed.
Cells can rid themselves of defective or malfunctioning organelles through a process called autophagy. This involves the formation of a double-membrane structure called an autophagosome, which engulfs the damaged organelles and delivers them to lysosomes for degradation. The breakdown products are then recycled for reuse by the cell.
Personally, my approach is to use some of them to digest my food, and the restof them to track down and destroy other microbes that could be hazardous to myphysical welfare. I have been following this method for several years and I have noinfections or nutritional deficiencies. That proves that my way of using microbes iscorrect, beneficial, and effective.(For extra credit: Find the faulty logic in my answer.)
Lysosomal digestion is the use of lysosomes (enzymes contained in vesicles) to break down substances that enter a cell by endocytosis. Usually the substances they break down are harmful to the cell.
