The key features of the behavioural approach to psychopathology are classical conditioning this explains how fears and phobias are developed with in humans. You may refer to Watson and Rayners research done in 1920. Operant conditioning this can explain how humans develop and maintain their fears and phobias through negative/positive reinforcement; You may refer to Skinners research in 1974. And the social learning theory this is the idea that we learn fears and phobias through other people through the 4 steps; Attention, retain, reproduce and motivation.
