It depends on your tolerance to pain. Even if your cavity is small, if the drill or polisher gets near the nerve, its going to send shocking pain. I had a very deep cavity that I had filled and had mistakenly taken quite a bit of Vitamin C before the procedure. Vitamin C will prevent Novocaine from working. It was very painful, but at my threshold.
On the other hand, Novocaine is pretty shocking to the body and to the immune system itself. If you're thinking of forgoing it for health reasons, and the cavity is small, it might be worth it to give it a try. You can always ask for Novocaine halfway through if you need it.
Yes, if you have a small cavity, it will typically need to be drilled by a dentist in order to remove the decayed part of the tooth and prevent further damage. After drilling, a filling will be placed to restore the tooth's structure.
A thread chaser is used to clean the thread marks in a drilled hole or bolt cavity. It should be used with a lubricant to make sure the threads are smooth and clean, before restoring the rest of the pieces.
The entrance to a cavity is called an "orifice." It is the opening that allows access to the internal space of the cavity, whether it be natural, like a mouth or nostril, or artificial, such as an opening in a structure or a drilled hole. In anatomical contexts, it often refers to openings in the body that lead to internal organs or spaces.

A dentist will inspect your teeth, and advise on whether any dental work is needed. A cavity will probably be drilled and then filled with a special dental paste. This will, hopefully, prevent the root/ nerve of the tooth from becoming infected, leading to a painful toothache.
The peritoneal cavity is a normal part of human anatomy. It is not a condition that requires treatment.

The nasal cavity is part of the Olfactory System, which is one of the 5 senses and is the sense of smell. It works closely with our sense of taste. Another function of the nasal cavity is to warm and moisted the air as we breath in. That is why we are told that we should breath in through our noses and out through our mouths. On a very cold day, we may do this automatically without realising. Hope this helps.

Yes you should worry somewhat. It is because cavities can cause problems in the teeth.
