Should you be concerned about brown discharge while pregnant?

If it is in the very beginning of your pregnancy it is just 'old' blood that your body expels and is normal. Although if it is oddly thick or has a strong odor I would see your doctor. I would also see your doctor if it is not at the beginning of your pregnancy.

It depends on the stage.
A very brief period of brown (or red) discharge can be considered normal at implantation (about six days after ovulation: in other words, before you even miss a period).
At any other time, any bleeding- because let's face it, that's what "brown discharge" is; you're bleeding- should be evaluated by a physician.
Spotting can occur during the first trimester of a normal, healthy pregnancy, but should always be evaluated.
It's probably nothing serious, but you need to see a doctor.

It depends on what stage you are in during your pregnancy. If it's only a small amount , there are no clots, There is no cramping, and it isn't bright red you should be ok. If it continues , you become worried about it, or you experience a lot of bleeding,bright red bleeding, clots, cramping, fowl smelling discharge or a gush of liquid from your vagina contact your dr or go to the ER immediately.

Could be. A lot of pregnant women say they spotted early in pregnancy. However, I always get brown spotting before a period.

It definitely isn't dangerous hun. A brown period is old blood. Usually caused by left over blood from your previous period or pregnancy related.
