The Central Nervous System
The Brain and Spinal Chord comprise the Central Nervous System.
The brain and spinal cord collectively form the central nervous system.
The brain and spinal cord are collectively called the Central Nervous Sytem which controls all most of the body's functions including movement.
Central Nervous System
The brain and spinal column, which is collectively called the Central Nervous System.
The meninges, i.e. the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord.
Brain stem
The spinal cord, brain, and nerves collectively form the central and peripheral nervous systems. The central nervous system (CNS) consists of the brain and spinal cord, which process and integrate information. The peripheral nervous system (PNS) includes all the nerves that branch out from the CNS, connecting it to the rest of the body. Together, these systems enable communication between the brain and the body's various functions.
Membranes called meninges cover and protect the brain and spinal cord. The skull and spinal column also protect the brain and spinal cord, respectively. The spinal cord is made up by individual vertebrae.
The brain and the spinal cord make up what is called the central nervous system.
The primary germ layer that forms the brain and spinal cord is called the ectoderm.
