What STDs are not curable or treatable?

There is a world of difference between what is curable and treatable. The diseases, or whatever, that you speak of are treatable. If something is cured it will never come back yet if it is treated, it can be kept under control. For example, cold-sores. Yes it is the same as the herpes virus but each time you get a cold sore you treat it but since you carry the virus, they still come back.

HIV is a viral infection that is incurable, having no cure. Herpes both I and II are incurable as well. They dwell inside the spine and when your immune system is down you can have an outbreak... Then it goes away till Your body let's it out again. Medications can control symptoms and breakouts.

Hpv or genital warts have no cure, although the warts themselves can be removed. It does tend to go away on it's own over time, but not always. It can stay for years, or clear up in a year or two on it's own especially if your immune system is strong. However, the virus can stay in the skin and comeout again, though much less commonly reappears than herpes. Hpv also does not live the skin nor does it circulate the blood like herpes does. But still incurable with medications.

Syphilis is curable but can be extremely hard to treat. There are many cases of it resurfacing again after being treated 20 years ago. Although it is considered treatable, that is debatable.
