What are small brownish spots that don't itch on my chest and stomach?

Light brown spots on the stomach could be the scars of by past ingrown hairs you dug out and plucked. They seem to take forever to go away. Put lemon juice on them every day and don't pluck down there, the hairs are too soft and tiny. If you have darker hair there, just bleach it, it'll be like a little soft blonde hair!

I have also read that it may be tinea versicolor, it can be treated with an anti-dandruff shampoo like Selsum Blue, apply it daily until they fade.

You may have a skin disorder called tinea versicolor, or it may just be a case of a simple skin fungus. All sorts of skin creams, powders, washes, etc are unlikely to work. However, a strong anti-dandruff shampoo such as Selsun with 2.5% selenium sulphide will work. Use it in the shower as a normal wash for a week or two, and the problem should disappear.
